[Beyond Post Reporter Kim Hyeong-un] The World Educational Cultural Aid conducted history education on making Taegeukgi for children at local children's centers.

In celebration of March 1st, the World Educational Cultural Aid conducted history education on making Taegeukgi for about 20 children under the care of local children's centers.

Since most schools start the new semester on March 2, children have relatively few opportunities to receive education about Independence Movement Day, one of Korea's national holidays.

The World Educational Cultural Aid stated the purpose of this education, saying, ‘Children need opportunities to receive education about March 1st in a familiar and enjoyable way.’

The children had fun learning about the exact form and meaning of the Taegeukgi and Geonggongamri by making Taegeukgi and tops, fans, and pinwheels with the Taegeukgi on it, and studied the origin and true meaning of Independence Movement Day through education about Independence Movement Day.

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, “There must be a country so I can exist,” and added, “I am very fortunate that our children can enjoy studying history. We will continue to research ways to make history education interesting and not boring.”

The World Educational Cultural Aid is an international relief non-profit organization that develops sponsorship programs for children in educational blind spots around the world, practices sharing so that those in need can live with hope, and is at the forefront of spreading a donation culture.
