[Global Epic Reporter Hwang Seong-su] On April 28, the World Educational Cultural Aid held a graduation ceremony for vocational training for florists for the hearing impaired.

WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, held the completion ceremony for the 3rd florist vocational training for the hearing impaired with the social enterprise ‘Flip’. This training was conducted for 8 weeks under the supervision of Flip and hosted by the World Educational Cultural Aid to provide educational support for hearing-impaired people who had high barriers to employment due to social prejudice.

It is known that hearing-impaired people have a field of view 1.5 times wider than that of non-disabled people, allowing them to excel in various occupations, including florists. However, they are experiencing many difficulties in finding employment due to society's perception and prejudice. The World Educational Cultural Aid expressed its ambition to continue various support projects for the underprivileged in Korea.
Bang Jeong-hwan, president of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, “We should not be deprived of employment opportunities just because of prejudice,” and added, “I want to give hearing-impaired people a valuable opportunity.”

In addition, Flip CEO Park Kyung-don expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are truly grateful for your support of their efforts that are more beautiful than flowers.”

The World Educational Cultural Aid is an international relief non-profit organization that develops educational and cultural programs for children in educational blind spots around the world, practices sharing so that those in need can live with hope, and takes the lead in spreading the donation culture.
