[Beyond Post Reporter Kim Shin] On November 7, the World Educational Cultural Aid provided love-filled kimchi to underprivileged families in Inje, Gangwon-do.

About 40 volunteers, including employees of the World Educational Cultural Aid, participated in this kimchi sharing event, and 250 boxes of 5kg kimchi, totaling 1,250kg, were made and delivered to vulnerable families in Inje, including rural, multicultural, single parents, and grandparents.

Because vulnerable families do not have regular income or have relatively low income, they often prioritize fixed expenses such as monthly rent and heating costs, and pay for food later. The World Educational Cultural Aid holds a Kimchi Sharing of Love event every year to help underprivileged children eat three healthy meals a day and grow into healthy adults. ‘Kimchi Sharing of Love’ is an event that conveys hope in an era of high inflation by making plenty of kimchi, which is highly useful in cooking, and sharing it with vulnerable families.

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, “I hope that this kimchi sharing will provide great support to Inje residents who are in difficult circumstances.” He added, “The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to carry out various support projects for the underprivileged.”

The World Educational Cultural Aid is an international educational non-profit organization that develops educational and cultural programs for children in educational blind spots around the world, practices sharing so that those in need can live with hope, and is at the forefront of spreading a donation culture.
