2022. 03. 12 19:38

On the 10th, the World Educational Cultural Aid WECA is taking a commemorative photo to deliver COVID-19 prevention kits to underprivileged children in Daegu.

The World Educational Cultural Aid, an international relief development and education support NGO, announced that as COVID-19 continues to prolong and spreads particularly strongly in the Daegu region, it will provide emergency prevention support to children from vulnerable groups and low-income families in the region.

As the first round of emergency relief, the World Educational Cultural Aid promotes COVID-19 prevention support and psychological and emotional support through preventive education for children in welfare blind spots in the Daegu region. Through the city and provincial headquarters of the World Educational Cultural Aid, we urgently provided hygiene prevention kits, including 1,300 masks, 130 hand sanitizers, 130 hand sanitizers, and 130 wet wipes, to vulnerable children.

In addition, the Daegu and Gyeongnam headquarters of the World Educational Cultural Aid and local children's centers have joined forces to monitor children from vulnerable, low-income, and multi-child households in the Daegu region and promote psychological and emotional support projects through counseling. We plan to expand emotional healing support to restore the emotional health of children exposed to extreme stress such as depression and anxiety due to the spread of COVID-19.

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, “As the COVID-19 situation continues, vulnerable children in the Daegu area in particular may face difficulties even maintaining basic livelihoods, let alone having masks to prevent the coronavirus.” He added, “Accordingly, the World Educational Cultural Aid provides emergency relief for vulnerable children in the Daegu area and will continue to provide broader support in the future.”

Subsequently, the World Educational Cultural Aid plans to provide a second round of medical supplies for medical staff and volunteers at medical institutions in the Daegu area who are fighting the coronavirus in extremely poor environments.
