World Educational Cultural Aid – Information on Incheon City Alternative School Association Sports Competition

「2026 WECA-Sports Festival」

The World Educational Cultural Aid is holding the joint sports event “2026 WECA-Sports Festival” with students from alternative education institutions registered in Incheon City.

This sports competition was designed to provide students with opportunities for healthy sports activities through exchange and cooperation between schools and to expand the cultural and sports network of youth outside of school. 

It will be a meaningful time for students from various schools to get together and experience sports and community activities.

Event Overview

* date - June 23, 2026 (Tuesday) 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

* location - Incheon Metropolitan City Youth Training Center (42 Jangsu-ro, Namdong-gu, Incheon)

* Who should participate - Students, teachers, and parents of alternative education institutions registered with the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education

Schools expected to participate

- Gyeongin Lincoln School, Dasarang Culture School, Sujeong Vision School, Yeolum School, Ohabi Leadership School, Lee Bom School A total of six alternative education institutions are participating.

Morning Program (All Grades)

- Opening ceremony and warm-up exercises

- School mixed team sports activities

- Surf relay

- Roll the Earth

- Soccer/Dodgeball preliminary round

- Basketball preliminaries

- Tug of war and relay

Afternoon Program (Middle and High School)

- Mini sports game

- Basketball Finals

- Football final

- Award ceremony and group photo shoot

Operation direction

This sports competition is not just about competition. It is operated with a focus on cooperation and exchange between students.

- Forming mixed teams for each school, operating customized games for elementary, middle and high schools, distributed operation of indoor gymnasiums and playgrounds, and conducting programs considering safety.
